Fly-over country!  The middle of nowhere!  The Great Flatness!

This is what comes to mind when Easterners and West Coast denizens think of Kansas. For as long as any of us can remember these were the major attributes that described Kansas.  Our geographic location and geologic monotony were the defining liabilities of the State. 

NO MORE!. We can now turn our most significant liability into an asset.  Time and progress change everything.

The dynamics of ubiquitous access to any point in the country via air travel, the ascension of instant internet accessibility, the availability of extensive human and intellectual resources along with a lower level of encumbering bureaucracies have set the stage for a paradigm shift in social, educational, and economic opportunity here and now.

The new Kansas slogan we offer is designed to illustrate and emphasize these possibilities.  To this we would add a supplemental and synergistic slogan as a close follow on:  KANSAS RISING.
